The Temple of Poseidon, the ancient Greek God of the sea, dominates the southernmost tip of Attica, where the horizon meet the Aegean Sea. Perched on the craggy rocks of Cape Sounio, the temple is enveloped in myth and historic facts dated from antiquity until the present times. Before the magical sunset, indulge in a refreshing swim  in the small beach nearby the foot or in any one of the neighboring beaches in Legrena or in Lavrio.

In the hinderland of Epidavroswere two most important healing centersin the intire Greek and Roman world. The sanctuary dedicated to Apollo Maleatas, a god with healing proprerties, which has founded around 800 B.C., and the Asclepieion, the seat of antiquity's physician god whose worship was established in the 6th c.
